The Ted Lewis Museum
Founded in 1977, the museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
Journey through the life of Theodore Leopold Friedman from his childhood - playing clarinet in the Circleville Cadet Band - to his attempts to run away with medicine shows and carnivals to avoid working inhis father’s store.
Learn how he was crowned “The King of Jazz” and won his battered old top hat in a dice game. Listen to the songs he made famous including “When My Baby Smiles At Me,” “Tiger Rag,” “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” and his signature routine, “Me and My Shadow.” Watch historic film and television appearances and experience his amazing 65-year career in show business.

The Museum is closed December, Saturday before Christmas and through February and for all holidays.
During Pumpkin Show, the third Wednesday-Saturday of October, the museum is open 12-5 PM (Dependent on volunteer availability)
